Success of ŠK Omladinac-Budućnost in the Montenegrin Premier League

De Facto is pleased to have supported the participation of the ŠK Omladinac-Budućnost chess club from Podgorica in this year’s Montenegrin Premier League in chess, the highest level of club chess competition in Montenegro.

In strong competition against the top ten chess clubs in Montenegro, the chess players from Omladinac delivered an excellent performance, securing four victories in matches, playing one match to a draw, and suffering four losses. Overall, they finished in a respectable sixth place, surpassing the expected ranking by two places before the start of the competition. This result exceeded expectations, ensured their place in the top-tier competition, and continued the club’s streak of good results.

The club’s success was accompanied by the individual achievement of Nemanja Vukčević, who earned enough rating points to surpass the 2300 rating threshold, thus obtaining an international title and becoming a new Montenegrin FIDE Master (FM)..

The Elektroprivreda chess club secured first place, defending their title as the club champion of Montenegro in chess.

De Facto has supported the club’s activities on several occasions, and the results have consistently improved, particularly considering that the core of the Omladinac team consists of young chess players who have emerged from a chess school. Additionally, they are all highly successful in their respective professions, and despite their busy schedules, they remain dedicated to chess and continue to progress in their chess battles. In previous competitions (which the club counts on for the future), Montenegrin representatives and young chess players Kristina Bačić and Mateja [last name not provided] have also competed for Omladinac.
