We are proud to have been part of the project “The Political Reality of Generation Z in the Western Balkans”, implemented by Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans, which was recently presented at the Gen Z Kitchen Festival.

DeFacto Consultancy collected data for Montenegro as part of this research project, one of the largest regional studies on youth ever conducted in the Western Balkans. In cooperation with five research organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia, the project included 6,000 interviews with young people aged 16 to 28, from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

The aim of the project is to map how Generation Z understands its political reality at the local, regional, and European levels, and to provide a foundation for concrete policy recommendations. The research covers a wide range of topics: from political attitudes and ideological orientations, to views on EU integration, migration, and the labor market, as well as issues such as climate change, artificial intelligence, and regional inequalities.
